Hello!

My name is Joann Yen, I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Mid-level (4th-8th) English Language Arts and Social Studies. This will be my second year at Stinson, and for this year, I am very excited about meeting all my students as building connections with students is something that I find extremely important.  Watching the students grow socially, intellectually, and individually really helps motivate me to be the best at what I do. Besides being in the classroom, I love to spend time with my family, and I also love to travel. I travel back to Taiwan twice a year to see family. Lastly, a fun fact about me: I have dual citizenship in the United States and Taiwan.
