Ms. Zarife Abraham-Elliott

Hello! My name is Zarife Abraham and I am the Bilingual Instructional Specialist here at Daffron Elementary School. This is my first year at Daffron but I have been in the district for four years. I am very excited to be here!

Last year I was the Bilingual Special Education Teacher at Christie Elementary and I really loved it, before that I was a fifth grade teacher for three years. I have taught othere grade levels as well like Kindergarten, 6th grade and highschool.

I have a degree in Psychology from the "Universidad de Monterrey" and currently I am studying the Master of Education in Educational Administration at Grand Canyon University. After college I started working as a Human Resources Manger for different companies in Mexico, also I was a therapist. When I moved to Washington State I started working as a Teacher Assistant and I just loved working with kids. When I moved to Texas I decided to get my Teacher Certification and start working as a Bilingual Teacher.

On a personal note, I am from Mexico, I have a 13 year old daughter and a 7 year old son, we also have a dog. We love to spend time together and the outdoors. When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my kids, traveling, camping, jogging, reading, working out, we also like to watch movies together and eat :)
