Hello Vikings!

My name is Melissa Bettge, and I am excited to join the Vines family!

I will be serving as the Assistant Principal for A-G alpha students as well as serving our teachers, parents, and community as we embark on an exciting school year. This is my 20^th year in education. Prior to being an administrator, I taught English as well as served as a campus based Instructional Coach. I am a graduate of Baylor University with a BS in Secondary Education, as well as a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

If I am not here at Vines, you will probably find me with my husband cheering on our two children in their activities. I enjoy traveling and reading in my spare time. 

I am passionate about our students' experiences as Vines Vikings, and I believe they deserve our very best each day we have to spend with them. When you are a Vines Viking, you will be supported, encouraged, and challenged to do great things. I am happy you are here, and together, we will have a wonderful school year.
