Hello! 

My name is Ms. Hawkenson and I am a biology teacher on our science team at Vines High School. I love science and I especially love life sciences. I have worked for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Geological Survey (USGS), and in several labs at Texas Teh University, where I went to school. I studied Natural Resources Management with a concentration in Wildlife Biology. I enjoy spending time outdoors observing the natural world and all of the relationships it supports. 

I have taught science for 3 years and in that time I have written curriculum for Plano ISD, served as an AVID sponsor, and participated in science fair. 

I am available for tutorials during Viking Time (10:40-11:17am), and before and after school. Please consult with me in person, via email, or on the phone regarding tutorials outside of Viking Time.
