Topy Nguyen is excited to start his first year of teaching in Plano ISD. Mr. Nguyen will lead the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band, as well as team teach the Marching Band and Concert Band at Williams High School. He will also teach beginner Saxophone and Flute classes at Bowman Middle School. Previously, Mr. Nguyen had just completed his student teaching at Haltom High School and Haltom Middle School in Birdville ISD.

 

Mr. Nguyen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education and also had the oppurtunity to perform with the TCU Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Horned Frog Marching Band, Trombone Choir, and Jazz Bands.

 

When he has the chance, Mr. Nguyen loves listening to all genres of music, playing video games, or having a relaxing chess match.

 

Mr. Nguyen's professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
