Mr. Harms

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but grew up primarily in Bangkok, Thailand. I am the youngest of three. I spent my middle school years in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated high school from International Community School in Bangkok, Thailand. I attended Simpson University in Redding, California. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2009. I taught 9th grade Geography and coached volleyball at Denton High School for a couple years before I married my best friend, Kelley, in 2011. We moved to Bangkok, Thailand where I coached basketball and taught 7th grade Medieval History and 8th grade U.S. History for three years. We then moved to Frisco, Texas where I coached basketball and taught 7th grade Old Testament Bible and 8th grade U.S. History for two years. We moved back to Bangkok where I taught 9th grade Geography and coached basketball for four years. Most recently, we helped start a new campus in Udon Thani, Thailand in the northeastern region of Isaan. For the last two years I taught 6th-12th grade social studies, including: Ancient History, Medieval History, U.S. History, Geography, Modern Era World History, Government, and Economics.

I love to play football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf, disc golf, bowling, and I enjoy running and lifting. My wife and I have three incredible children we are honored to raise up and train to humbly serve and love all those around them.
