Hello!  My name is Kellie Choat and I am a Monolingual First Grade teacher.  I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Masters in 2001. I was inspired by my dad and my first and fourth grade teachers to be a teacher, because it allowed me to continue to be with children and teach.  These teachers still keep in contact with me and would attend many of my endeavors as a student.  I continue the tradition with my students.  I believe in relationships being the core of teaching.  I have a husband of 29 years and a son who is a senior.  When I am not at school I can be found watching my son play basketball, playing sports with my family and reading.
