Ms. Nutterfield (or Ms. N) grew up in Allen, TX not a stones throw from Plano. She attended Texas State where she graduated with a BFA in Art Education. She learned a lot of what it meant to be an artist in college and later bought that to her teaching. In 2020, she got hired at Davis Elementary in Garland ISD and learned a lot in a very high pressure time. Needing a change of pace, she now works at the wonderful Frankford Middle School!

Ms. N goes by the mantra "Artist first, teacher second". Teaching is her calling, but art and the act of making is ingrained in her soul. She wants to bring the attitude that art can be much more than a hobby (although there is nothing wrong with keeping it a hobby). It will help students in their future careers, basic problem solving and creative flow, and, hopefully, be an aid for good mental health practices.
