Greetings!

I am Ms. Barnette, and I will be teaching English I and English I honors as well as Yearbook this year. This will be my 9th year teaching and my 1st year here at Vines! I'm so excited to get this year going!

I was born in Texas, and I have lived here in the DFW area most of my life apart from a few years during my childhood and college education in southern Oklahoma. I'm a Texas girl through and through, although I was raised to only support the most superior football teams. (Boomer!)

My interests range from sports to video games, but I am most passionate in reading. Ever since I was 4, I have read anything I can get my hands on. I work hard as an English teacher to try and spread that love of literature. If you think reading is boring, then you're not reading the right books for you! Let me help you find "the one".
