I am the Life Skills educator here at Renner Middle School and am so excited to be working with the youth of Plano, TX!
I am a PROUD graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C. (H.U.!!!) I have been teaching since 2012. PE/Health is my trade, but I have taught all grade levels and a wide variety of subjects. I'm a Denver, CO native coming to you from Chicago, IL where I taught and headed the PE/Health Department at a local Charter College Prep. My teaching career has spanned across 3 states (Virginia, Illinois, and Texas) and taken me to Bengaluru, India and Ghana, Africa. I can't wait to bring the experience those journeys have afforded me to RMS.
When I am not working with youth, I lead moms and women of color through maternal care, self-care practices, yoga classes, and wellness activities. I also enjoy family time (with my husband, bonus daughter, and new son), traveling, singing, crafting, building, gardening, and being a "Jacqueline of many trades". I hope to be able to teach my students how balance works so that they can get a head start on applying it in their daily lives.
