Hello! Ciao!

My name is Michele Di Giorno and I am a native Texan. I studied at Richardson High School and at The Univerity of Texas at Austin for my BA in Art History and Latin. Next at The University of North Texas, I earned a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Linguistics. In 2000, I was hired to teach ESL at Vines High School and this began my professional journey in ESL. For over two decades, I have taught a diverse EB population in K-12 and in higher education. I still feel absolute joy and a sense of accomplishment when I see my students' faces light up and I know we have made a connection.

Furthermore, why work at Plano West Senior High School? I am the proud parent of Giavana, who graduated from Plano West and was actively involved in JROTC. As a parent I chose Plano West to educate my daughter. As a teacher, I will continue daily offering an outstanding education for your student while at Plano West.

Finally, I am a pet parent to Christopher Robin (cat) and Pearl & Mr. Green (birds). I love to travel and base my trips on museums. I participate in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
