Hello Mendenhall Longhorns!

My name is Jasmine Yates, and this is my 7th year of teaching! I have previously taught 3rd grade, 2nd grade ELAR, and 2nd grade Math. I graduated from The University of North Texas with my Bachelors and Texas A&M University at Commerce with my Masters in Social Work. I began my teaching career by creating an After- School Tutoring program at a Homeless Shelter in my hometown of Paris, Texas. I then realized that this is what I wanted to do full time.
I began teaching 3rd grade in Dallas. I then moved to Arlington where I taught 2nd grade. I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade this year.  I know the students will help me grow as a teacher as they are growing as students!
