I am excited to be a 5th grade teacher at Mendenhall Elementary School.  Over the past 26 years, I have taught Middle School Science for 23 years and 5th grade Science for 3 years in South Louisiana.  I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Languagre).  Through the years, I have taught Adult Education at the Community College level and I have worked with Dyslexic students through after school tutoring programs.   As an educator, I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential by creating an engaging, collaborative environment.  I love to help my students learn, inquire, and discover what they are passionate about so they grow up to be lifelong learners.
