I'm super excited to be in Plano ISD this year at Frankford! This will be my 9th year in the classroom, but my 17th year in education altogether. I've taught in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Dallas, ISD, and Garland ISD. I attended Plano ISD schools for K-6, and I'm originally from Dallas. I received my B.S. from Stephen F. Austin State University in Interdisciplinary Studies and my M. Ed. from the University of North Texas in Educational Leadership.
Science has become a passion of mine over the years because of our innate curiosity as humans. We always have questions, and in science, we are able to prove the answers to those questions. No matter what age we are, we are all still learning!
My Why: Teachers are the perpetuators of a better generation of people. It starts in a classroom. My passion is building up students to reach their fullest potential and providing them with the tools they need to be successful. We all learn at our own pace, and it is important to honor our differences; however, students should be able to take ownership of their own learning. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of science and my love of learning with each of my students. When I'm not at Frankford I enjoy cooking, yoga, running, anything outdoors, my cat, and watching Texas sports.
