Hi, I am Amy Barker, and I am so excited to join Schimelpfenig M.S. home of the Panthers! I teach in the Strive room for our Special Education Academics. I am certified in Special Education EC-12, Art EC-12 and ESL.

This will be my 2nd year in PISD. I live here in Plano with my husband Kevin and our two daughters, Kara and Kaylee, both of whom attend Plano schools.

We have 3 fur babies, two cats and a dog, and my youngest plays ECNL select soccer, so most weekends you can find us out on the field. My oldest is in the AP Art program at PSHS.

As a family we love to travel, eat great food, and watch movies.

I look forward to a great year at Schim!
