I am so excited about joining the Bobcat family this year! This is my 8th year in education and I have been able to do so much since I began my teaching career. I started out as a 7th and 8th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher for two years in Fort Worth ISD, then I taught RLA and AVID in Irving ISD for two years, and was promoted to Digital Learning Coach for the last three years!
Being in leadership helped me to understand student and adult learning so much better and I'm excited to start this new chapter in Plano ISD with AVID, as the coordinator, where I get to go back into the classroom. I helped my campus get to National Demonstration Status with AVID and it was amazing to help students see the importance of being college and career ready.
In my spare time, you can find me with my beautiful daughters and sweet husband, laying on the couch with coffee and my Bible, or writing my next childrens' book!
Students can come to finish work on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:45am. They must ask for a pass the day before.
