Mr. Nicholas Durand

I joined Plano East in September for my fourth year as a teacher. I'll be teaching Government and US History, as well as sponsoring the Model UN.

I previously taught AP Human Geography and US History in Arlington, Texas, while serving as level-lead and GSA co-sponsor.

I hold a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. While in college, I worked in lobbying and interned at both the Texas House of Representatives and the US Capitol. I'm looking forward to bringing my professional experience into the classroom!

In my own time, I like to run, hike, and travel. I also play clarinet in a Dallas-based community band; you may see me at some Plano events!
