I am originally from San Diego, CA and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have been teaching general education and special education since 2005. I have traveled to over 15 different countries and have a very multicultural family. When I moved to Texas in 2021, I became a special education instructional coach, which gave me valuable insights into how students learn and best practices for teacher instruction.
This experience inspired me to obtain my Masters in Mind, Brain Education, which explores the neuroscience and psychology behind learning and teaching. I enjoy yoga, walking, being with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors. I have an amazing husband and two boys ages 13 and 7.
