Welcome to Barron Elementary! What a blessing it is to serve as Principal here – I enjoy the daily opportunity to interact with so many wonderful children and families! I definitely would describe myself as a life-long learner! I am a graduate of Texas A&M Commerce and obtained my Masters of Education from University of North Texas. I belong to many professional organizations and strongly believe in staying current on educational beliefs and best practices. My mission as a principal is to show through my actions pride, passion and purpose.

I have held a variety of roles within Plano ISD. I was at Forman Elementary for nine years in the following roles: Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Team Leader and Math Instructional Specialist. I was an Assistant Principal for six years at the following schools: Schell/Miller, Thomas, Stinson, and Beverly/Centennial. I have had the pleasure of being a principal at in Dallas ISD and Plano ISD. I consider it a privilege to have been chosen the principal of Barron. I am beginning my 5th year as the leader of Barron Elementary.

My family is very important to me. I have one daughter, Alden. She is the joy of my life and makes me proud to be her mom. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats that keep us busy and very entertained. I live close to my family members and enjoy spending time with them on the weekends.

I feel strongly that my twenty-three years in education (mostly in PISD) created a skill set and a foundation for me to grow as an educator and drive my desire to become a principal in Plano ISD. I believe in focusing on the “whole child” and know that at Barron we will provide opportunities for growth in academics and well as the social and emotional areas. We are inspiring future leaders and learners!

I am very proud and honored to be the Principal of such an exceptional school. I look forward to many years as a Barron BigCat!
