Ms. Rachael Fischer
Ms. Fischer is entering her 7th year in Music Education. Currently, she is in her 6th year as the Director of Orchestras at Williams High School. Ms. Fischer directs the Camerata, Philharmonia, and Sinfonia performing ensembles at WHS, where she consistently earns Excellent and Superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading contests. Her students also thrive in solo auditions/competitions at both the region and state levels. As a conductor, Ms. Fischer has studied under the tutilege of both Dr. Clifton Evans in a university setting as well as Dr. Jeffrey Grogan in a workshop setting.
Originally a CenTex native, Ms. Fischer moved to DFW to pursue a music scholarship at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she received her Bachelors in Music Education with EC-12 Teacher Certification. Prior to this, she worked as a Student Lab Instructor at The Academie Musique at Temple College where she taught private lessons, took pedagogy classes, and earned her Level I Suzuki Certification.
Ms. Fischer's professional affiliations include: the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Orchestra Director's Assocation, the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Fischer enjoys performing in small chamber ensembles across DFW, attending concerts & music festivals, and bodybuilding!
