Mr. SFC John J. Kell Sr.

John Kell has been a resident of the Collin County area since 2015. John retired after serving over 20 years in the U. S. Army in 2014, with multiple tours to Iraq, and one tour to Afghanistan. While deployed in combat, John also took part in the planning and rebuilding of several towns in Iraq and Afghanistan. John now continues to serve by teaching JROTC in the Plano Independent School District at Vines and Clark High Schools. After many years of moving around with the military, John has decided to make Plano ISD his new home. Right away, John has decided to serve his new community by serving where there was a need, and that was by serving on the Lavon EDC board as well as the Lavon City Coucil. Another board that John volunteers his time for is the Phased-In Advisory board, which helps emancipated foster youth with their future after their lives in foster care. With over 20 years of senior management and leadership experience in the Military, and a reputation for meeting the most challenging organizational goals and objectives, John makes seemingly impossible situations work.
