I've taught in PISD since 1993 (although I left for a few years to teach in my home city of Toledo, Ohio and then came back). I've taught everything from Earth Science and Biology to almost all levels of high school English, Humanities, World of Ideas, and American Studies. I am proud to say I came to Plano West the year it opened and was excited to be part of the initiation of students, staff and faculty. Previous to teaching at PWSH, I taught at PSHS, Hendrick Middle School, and Schimelpfenig Middle School. I currently teach all Collin College English classes.
Both of my sons graduated from Plano schools, so I've been with Plano as a mom and a teacher.
When I'm not prepping, grading, and planning, I spend time with my adorable grandson, Walter Jacob McIntire. When we are on breaks from school, I'm in Brooklyn, Michigan at my home on Little Stoney Lake with my two Shetland Sheepdogs: Duncan and Maisie. My daughter-in-law and I refinish and flip furniture and we enjoy decorating.
