Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Brian Lyons, Principal
It is a pleasure serving as the principal of McMillen High School. My journey to McMillen has been filled with wonderful experiences. My wife and I are both from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After our wedding on December 31, 1999, we moved to Rochester, Minnesota. After a short stay in Rochester, my wife was offered an opportunity to transfer to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida in November 2000. While in Florida, I continued my teaching career as a history teacher. I begin my administrative career in 2002 as an assistant prinicpal. Since then, I have served as a Director of Academic Programs, vice-principal, elementary, middle and high school principal. My wife was offered a wonderful opportunity in the DFW area back in 2011.
I began my career in Plano ISD as an assistant principal at Willliams High School. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to serve as the principal at McMillen High School and I have loved every minute being here. Here at McMillen, we encourange students and parents to be actively engaged in the classroom and campus. We ask that students strive for greatness and for parents and guardians to play an active role in your child's education. I encourage your continuous parental involvement in PTSA, booster club, school events, home learning and other school-sponsored activities. We realize that the success of every child is greatly increased through the collaborative efforts of parents, teachers, students, and the community.
Thank you for your support of McMillen High School. Go Lions!
