Meet the Teacher!

The 2019 - 2020 school year will be my eighth year teaching and my fourth year with Plano ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2012 with my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade as a Generalist, 4th through 8th grade as a Specialist in Language Arts and Social Studies, Early Childhood through 8th grade ESL, and EC-12 Spanish. I am also currently working on my Master's degree in Professional School Counseling through Angelo State University.

I have taught many grade levels: fifth through twelfth. I have also taught many subjects, including: English as a Second Language, English Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies and Spanish. This year I will be teaching 6th grade English Language Arts and Reading and 8th grade AVID Excel, in addition to serving as the ESL Department Head.

I am a very proud Aggie, and I love Aggie football.

I am a newlywed. My husband, Calvin, and I were married in January of 2019. We live in Allen with our two pets: Milo (dog) and Meeko (cat).

I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to pursue my passion in life by teaching! It’s going to be an excellent school year!

“One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.” – Carl Jung
