I have been teaching orchestra in Plano ISD since the fall of 2012, and I am proud to be part of a district that supports our students in meeting high expectations in their academic and artistic pursuits alike. I spent the first two years of my career as the assistant director at Haggard Middle School and moved to take on the head directorship at Bowman in 2014. Prior to entering the classroom as a professional educator, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and a Master of Music Education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Outside of school, I am “mom” to two special-needs mutt dogs, Benny and Mjoll. My favorite hobbies revolve around gaming. I am active in the Dungeons and Dragons organized play community, I love puzzling out the New York Times crosswords, and I haven’t met an open-world RPG videogame that I didn’t like.
