Dr. Tony Day
My name is Dr. Tony Day and I am a Secondary Educator working at Carpenter Middle School in my 7th year as a Special Education and History teacher. I previously worked as a Middle School Science Teacher and as a Career & Technology Teacher at Allen High School for nine years. I am certified as a Social Studies Teacher 6-12; Special Education Pre-K - 12 and as a Career & Technology Teacher 6-12. I am also a Certified School Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Vocational Rehabiltation & Disabilities). In addition to teaching Basic and Texas History classes, I also serve as Assistant Team Leader for Carpenter MS SPED Department and schedule Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings along with meeting with students and preparing Career Transition Supplements for their IEPs. I have a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Health, Physical Education & Recreation; a Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling; a Masters in Public History; a Masters in Theology and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I am an active reader and heavily involved in Boy Scouts in Circle 10(TX) and Arbuckle Area Council (OK). I am an Eagle Scout, Silver Beaver, Vigil Honor Member and James E. West Fellowship Receipent. I have also been recognized by Circle 10 Council with the Special Needs Scouting Service Award for my work with Scouts with disabilities.
