Greetings Wilson Ram community. My name is Mark Letterer and I am entering my fifth year as principal of Wilson Middle School where I am indeed “Living the Dream.” My professional journey began twenty-four years ago as an 8th grade history teacher and coach, followed by time as an ESL team leader before transitioning to administration serving as both a dean of students and an assistant principal.
Regardless of the setting, the time in my career, or the role I have served in, my core beliefs focus on passion, positivity, visibility, responsiveness and the growth of my students. I take ownership of the responsibility of educating our children, and I thank you for the trust you have placed in me. As we partner together during your child’s middle school years, I hope you will see the very traits I have outlined above, and that you will feel as good about the middle school experience at Wilson Middle School as I do. These years are critically important, and by building a strong community, and by providing top-notch instruction, the staff of Wilson Middle School is ready to make a positive difference in the lives of our students!
When I am not wearing the principal hat, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been married to my beautiful wife Lindsey for 18 years, and we have a son, Kyle, a 12th grader, and a daughter Katie, a 6th grader, who are both in Plano ISD. As a family we look forward to traveling whenever we are able, spending time with our extended family, being involved in our church, making the most of every day, and most importantly, creating lasting memories.
I am looking forward to the rewards that this school year will bring!
