Ms. Elizabeth Nipper-Special Education Teacher

Hello Rice Ravens!

After graduating Conneaut High School in 1999, I was a Rotary International Foreign Exhange student in Le Puy-en-Velay, France. When I returned to the United States, I began my studies at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH. I graduated in the spring of 2005 with my Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy.  I joined the United Stated Marine Corps Reserves in the fall of 2005, and during my time of service, I began to work on my masters at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA. I was activated for deployment on a NATO Mission to Afghanistan in the spring of 2011. During deployment, I served as a mentor/ advisor to the female Afghan National Army Training Center. Upon my return from deployment in 2012, I completed my Master of Science in Special Education.

I moved to Texas during the summer of 2012, and have been a part of the Plano ISD family ever since. I have worked at McCall Elementary School as a paraprofessional, and at Meadows Elementary School as a resource and self-contained special education teacher. In addition to planning the annual Veterans Day assemblies at Rice MS, I actively volunteer with the Wylie Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4380.

I am proud to serve the special education community of Rice Middle School, and look forward to another amazing school year!
