Ms. Deanna Reed

Hey!

I am currently one of the PE teachers at Murphy. While at MMS I have coached 8th grade volleyball and 7th grade basketball as well as  track. In 2015-16 I started as a paraprofessional at Haggard Middle school and volunteered coaching girls and boys basketball. In 2016 I was hired on as a teacher here at Murphy Middle School. It has been by joy to work here with the students and not only help them grow but for me to learn from them in all aspects of life.

I went to a small school in Sandstone, MN and went on to college at Rainy River CC and University of Wisconsin- Superior. I played one year of both volleyball and basketball in college until I had to have my 4th knee surgery. After this I went on and finished my degree of Exercise Science at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. In my final semester at UWS I had the opportunity to complete an internship at Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch in Mckinney. While completing this, I fell in love with Texas and decided to move down here for good! January 2020 I took on furthering my education. If everything stays on track, I will graduate in May, 2021 with my Masters in Kinesiology with a coaching emphasis.

In my spare time I love to take naps, go to movies, hang out with my boyfriends family, and talk with my family. You will often see my at Plano East High School volunteering my time with both volleyball and basketball.  Being from Minnesota, Vikings will always be my go to team for any sport! But while I am here, Go Mavericks!
