Bachelor of Science in Communications - University of Miami Master of Arts in School Counseling - Amberton University
Ms. McAnderson, a University of Miami graduate, is passionate about spreading an appreciation and understanding for the history of other cultures and preparing students for success in an increasingly global world. She has traveled to and explored over 12 different countries in Europe and the Americas. This year is her eleventh year of teaching Social Studies/History. She completed her masters in School Counseling, and she loves working with students to help them achieve their goals. She has taught all three grades of middle school Social Studies/History. Like previous years, Ms. McAnderson teaches sixth and seventh grade PACE. She is also one of the 6th grade team leaders; please feel free to contact her for more information about sixth grade.
She is the campus PACE/Gifted Education Specialist, you can contact her about placement or other PACE concerns. In addition she is the Student Council Sponsor and can answer any questions about getting involved and supporting their events and projects. Student Council meetings are Wednesday mornings at 7:50am in the DLR.
