I am Andrea Cockrell, the proud principal of Brinker Elementary.  This year marks my 13th year as a school principal and my 26th year in public education.  I taught elementary school for 11 years and was an instructional specialist as well before becoming a school administrator.  I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of North Texas.  Go Eagles!

 

 My husband, Baylor, and I have been married for 26 years and we have a son, Case, who also graduated from UNT.  

 

My passion for education and my love of kids drives me  to make every day special for my students.  Helping students grow by creating a school culture of high academic expecations and focusing on student's emotional growth too is my goal every year.  Thank you for entrusting me with your children and I looking forward to an amazing year!   Go Brinker Bears!
