Hello Jackson Jaguar families!

This year marks my 30th year in education, all but one of them in fifth grade right here in PISD. I might be partial, but I think it’s the best year of all! Texas has been home to me for most all of my life having been born in Dallas and raised in Richardson. I graduated from Dallas Christian High School and received my bachelor’s degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Outside of the classroom, you can find me spending time with my wonderful children, Kate and Kolby, and daughter-in-law, Kary, along with their adorable pup, Santiago. Mom and Dad live close by and often join in the fun! Arranging beautiful flowers, baking, traveling, and eating on my pretty patio with family and friends are some of my favorite things to do.

As always, I am happy to start a new school year and can't wait to see what adventures in learning lie ahead for all of us.  Guiding students through engaging activities and experiences that will develop solid academic understanding and help them find their place in our 5th-grade family and beyond is what I call success.  Now let's get started!
