I can trace my love of learning and books all the way back to childhood. Even in high school I couldn't wait to learn Spanish, never knowing it would lead to a career in teaching second language learners. This has been my vocation for the last 20 years. Ranging from Pre-k through 12th grade, my students have been diverse in age as well as background. I began teaching high school Spanish, followed by a stint teaching English Literature abroad to Arabic-speaking middle schoolers. Finally, I returned to the Dallas area, where I have spent many years teaching in bilingual and Dual-language programs. I have found teaching to be truly exciting as each day is brand new and different. I find daily joy and purpose in making sure each child feels welcomed, supported and capable of achieving their dreams! I strive to grow in my students their very own love of learning and hope it will serve them well throughout their lives.
