Sylvia Devers
Welcome, Mendenhall families and community!
My name is Sylvia Devers. I have had the luxury of teaching at Mendenhall Elementary since 2000, a school I also attended in 3rd grade. During the years I have taught here, I have educated students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, Special Education, a 4th/5th grade combined ESL class and worked as a Reading Specialist.
This year, I am a Campus Instructional Specialist/ELA working with 2nd and 3rd grade students in the areas of Reading, Math and Writing. Over the years, Mendenhall Elementary has blossomed into a strong beacon in the community that lends support and gives guidance to all in need. It is great to be part of an institution that continues to strongly advocate for the best education and life experiences for students. When away from Mendenhall, I am actively involved in my church, love hanging out with my family, spending quiet time with my husband, and relaxing on the beach with a good book.
