Mrs. Whelan was born and raised in Plano, TX. She is a former PISD student (Mitchell, Frankford, Shepton, and Plano West). She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. This will be her eighth year at Hughston teaching Kindergarten! In her free time, she loves to travel, attend sporting events, and spend time with her friends and family. She married her husband, Chris, in 2016 and they have a German Shepherd named Eli. She is looking forward to an amazing year in Kindergarten!
