Nancy Bassett grew up on the Florida beaches and relocated to Plano when she met and married her husband of 32 years.  She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education, with a minor in Reading.  Later, she attended University of North Texas and received her Masters of Education, Curriculum and Instruction degree.  Nancy has been an educator for 27 years and is in her 8^th year teaching at Hughston.  She has been a teacher in Plano for 18 years.  She lives with her husband and has two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, two grand-dogs, and a turtle.  Mrs. Bassett enjoys reading detective and mystery novels, watching movies, sewing, traveling, and having fun with her family.
