Why did you want to start the IB PYP at Huffman? While I wasn’t a part of starting the IB program at Huffman, the approach of teaching the whole child and making meaningful connections has always been a part of my passion in education. I think we have a responsibility to teach children who to value and show dignity to those with different perspectives so that they can be successful as 21st Century learners in our fast-changing world. I am excited to further the International Baccalaureate Mission as a perfect vehicle for Plano ISD’s mission for being committed to excellence, dedicated to caring, powered by learning, and making Plano proud.
