I am excited to begin my 20th year of teaching!  I began my career teaching first grade and did that for five years.  Then I moved into our PACE Specialist position and taught GT for seven years.  This year will mark my eighth year teaching fifth grade. All of my years of teaching have been at Brinker Elementary!  

I grew up in the midwest and received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University in 2002.  I then completed my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008 from the University of North Texas.  

When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and three kiddos.  Tate (15), Knox (11), and Brady (9) all attend PISD schools and keep busy playing sports.  When I'm not sitting at a ball field, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, reading, going to country concerts, and doing puzzles.
