Assistant Principal

Years in Education: I began my educational career teaching middle school science (6th-8th) at a private school. Following that year, I moved to Plano and taught second and third grades at Rasor and then Daffron Elementary.  I served in Plano for ten years, before my family moved to McKinney.  For the next ten years, I worked at McKinney ISD. I taught third and fifth grades and served as the team leader at Valley Creek Elementary.  After over twenty years in the classroom, I am excited about beginning my sixth year as an administrator.   I am thrilled to be at Hedgcoxe as the assistant principal!

Family: I have been happily married for almost 27 years to my sweet husband, Greg.  We have two amazing sons! Sean is starting his junior year at Texas A&M University as a political science major.  My son Ryan is about to start seventh grade, and loves playing the piano and trumpet!  We love hanging out together!

Interests/Hobbies:  I love to read and walk my dogs, Paprika & Ginger, or just soak up the sun!  My brothers, sister, and my mom all live close by, so we are always enjoying our family time. 

Interesting Fact About Me: I was born in New York City, and I love going back to visit our extended family there.  I graduated from Plano Senior High, and I love that Plano Pride!  Also, I am an avid AGGIE fan and love visiting College Station! I am a vegetarian, so my favorites are fruits, veggies, and any kind of chocolate!!!
