Nikki Blacketer

My name is Nikki Blacketer, and it is my privilege to serve as the music teacher at Rasor Elementary.  I graduated from Texas Tech University with Bachelor’s degrees in music education and in flute performance.  After I graduated I taught elementary music for 5 years in Allen ISD, 1 year in Denver, Colorado, and this is now my fourth year at Rasor Elementary in Plano ISD.   I teach using the Kodaly-method of music education and believe that music truly has the power to change someone's mind, heart, and life!

"With music, one's whole future life is brightened. This is such a treasure in life that it helps us over many troubles and difficulties. Music is nourishment, a comforting elixir. Music multiplies all that is beautiful and of value in life."

- Zoltan Kodaly
