At Haun Elementary, every moment counts in the art room. There is always a new challenge and discovery going on in art. When students come to the classroom we share our passions with a spontaneous, adventurous and radiant energy! We dive into art with enthusiasm that lights your soul on fire! I portray a vibrant leadership with a compassionate understanding of the needs of all students. 

I am also an oil painter and clay artist. I received my bachelors of fine arts degree and business minor from Texas Women's University. I am a certified elementary art specialist educator with Plano Independent School District since 1999 as a paraprofessional and professional teacher. I am a member of Texas Art Educators Association and I served as private school chair for 2 years, Elementary Division Chair for 4 years and was awarded Texas State Elementary Art Educator in 2013. For 4 years I also served on the board of Plano Area Art Educators Association as Vice President. The art curriculum at Haun Elementary is tailor made to foster the "whole child" and allows for instruction using a well-balanced combination of creative thinking in the Fine Arts and academic fundamentals. The primary focus is aimed to stimulate a growth mind set. 

Outside the classroom, I love to play in the snow and ski, boat, fish, camp and have a mean golf swing. I bleed orange for the Denver Broncos football team! My son was a soldier for the Army and my daughter is playing division 1 lacrosse at Mercer University in Georgia.
