Welcome to Beverly Elementary! I would like to extend a warm welcome to both our new and returning families. Our school has a legacy of providing an excellent education for each child in a positive and caring environment. Since our opening in 1988, Beverly Elementary has been recognized as an Exemplary School, as well as being recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education in 2006. Most recently, Beverly continues the success by earning Texas Education Agency’s Distinction Designations in all eligible categories for Academic Achievement in Reading/ELA, Mathematics, Science, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness. 

It is an honor to be a part of this great community! I find it a great joy and privilege to work with children. This is my thirty-third year in education, and I have enjoyed each experience. I am a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Administrator Certification. Most of my teaching career has been in Plano ISD where I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades, along with serving as Team Leader. As an Assistant Principal, I was afforded a wide range of experiences throughout the district. This year I am celebrating twelve years as Principal in Plano ISD.

As an educator and parent, I strive to provide an environment where each child feels loved, respected and challenged to grow academically and socially. I want to prepare all students for the future, by teaching them to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate well with others, and ultimately be positive contributors to our community.
