Ms. Karen Luellen
Kindergarten Teacher
My name is Karen Luellen, and I have happily been a kindergarten teacher at Beverly Elementary since 2004. I graduated with honors from Emporia State University in Kansas (Class of ’95) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and dual specializations in Early Childhood and Multiculturalism in the Classroom. I have two college-age children. Kathryn is living and working in Ireland after having received her Master's from The University of Dublin and John is attending Stephen F. Austin. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading my Kindle, browsing antique shops, or playing word games. I feel truly honored to teach kindergarten and cannot imagine a more supportive and caring environment for children to learn and grow than Beverly Elementary. My personal goal is to offer a happy and safe place for children to feel accepted, appreciated, and encouraged to show perseverance as we work together to meet their individual needs. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
