Experience in Education:  I began my teaching career in Plano ISD in 2010, when I was a student teacher at Murphy Middle School and at Hunt Elementary, under the careful guidance of Ms. Susan Mullen! I began teaching 5th-grade full time at Hunt in 2011.  I have taught Reading/LA, Science and Math, and currently teach 3 blocks of math, which is my favorite subject.

Background:  I am a Texas girl, I was born and raised in Rockwall, which was a very small town then.  My husband and I decided to move from Carrollton in 1999 to raise our 2 sons in Plano.  I felt inspired to return to college and earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, after volunteering at my son's elementary school.   I am proud to say both my sons are graduates of Plano West High School.  I feel very blessed to be a part of the Plano ISD community.

Interests: My family loves to hike and camp, our goal is to visit every National Park in the system!  We love spending time outdoors.  However, camping does take a backseat to football season.  I am a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan!
