Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Johnson

I am a 5th grade teacher and I teach ELA/Reading/Social Studies. I absolutely LOVE teaching 5th grade because it's very special to be a part of this time in the child's life. Life had taught me that I was meant to be a teacher. As soon as I figured that out, I went to The University of Texas at Dallas, where I recieved my teaching certification along with a bachelor's degree in child learning and development. Shortly after, I had found my home at Wyatt-the best school ever! On this wonderful journey, I married my best friend, Mr. Johnson. We went to Disney World for our honeymoon, which was amazing, and had the time of our lives! I am also a major board game enthusiast and love chocolate. In my classroom, I am a strong believer on the "work hard, play hard" philosophy. Fifth grade can be challenging, but it is also extremely fun and rewarding. I push my students to their maximum potential, while reminding them that once in a while, it is okay to make a joke or dance it out! Overall, I absolutely love all my students in their own special way because they are a big reason of why I get up everyday.
