Mrs. Kimberly A Parker

5th Grade Teacher

Experience in Education: I have taught elementary school for 17 years, and most of these have been in Plano ISD.  During this time, I have taught second grade, third grade, and currently starting my 5th year in 5th grade at Hunt.  I started teaching at Rose Haggar Elementary in 1995.  I also taught at a private K-4 school in Washington State.

Background: When I was born in California, I was the first American born on my mother's side of the family.  I am half Danish.  I grew up in Murphy and attended Forman Elementary, Dooley Elementary, Armstrong Middle School, Williams High School, and graduated from Plano East Senior High School.  Jason and I are raising our son Liam in the same house I was raised in (old Murphy). Much around our house has changed, as Liam can no longer ride a horse down Murphy Road as I did in third grade! However, it is very neat to have our son follow in my footsteps.  My husband works with law enforcement, my mother is a retired PISD teacher, and my father is a retired Parker Police Chief.

Interests: I love to garden, complete online puzzles, and work on any and all home improvement projects with my husband.
