When do benefits end if you resign from PISD?
If you resign during the school year, your benefits will terminate on the last day of the month in which your employment ends. For example, if you resign effective April 26, benefits will end April 30.
If you resign on or after the last day of the school year, your medical plan will terminate on August 31. All other plans will terminate on the last day of the month in which you receive your final paycheck. For most teachers, that would be August 31. The coverage termination date may vary for other types of employees.
