Oct. 4, 2017 - 2017-18 Education Foundation President Seeks to Strengthen District and Community Partnerships
Ken Hutchenrider has taken the reins as Plano ISD Education Foundation board president for the 2017-18 school year. This year will be Mr. Hutchenrider's fifth year of service on the board.
"My number one goal for the Foundation is to continue to work to create and strengthen excellent partnerships between the Foundation, the school district and the community," said Mr Hutchenrider. "These relationships will give us the opportunity to provide increased funding to Plano ISD to assist the district in giving our students the best educational experience possible."
Chris Bragg, outgoing Foundation president, said, "I have worked with Ken for several years on the Foundation Board and I believe he has the leadership, insight and expertise to help elevate this organization to bring in higher levels of support for our district."
Mr. Hutchenrider has served as president of Methodist Richardson Medical Center since July 2010. He has received many accolades, including the American Heart Association SOAR Award, the Community Health System Outstanding Achievement Award and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is actively involved in the community and served as the chairman of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife Melinda are Plano ISD parents. Their oldest daughter graduated from Plano East Senior High School in May 2017 and is a freshman at Texas A&M. Their younger daughter is a sophomore at Williams High School.
