March 23, 2018 - Technology Olympics for Students with Visual Impairments

The 2018 Region 10 Technology Olympics for Students with Visual Impairments was held on Friday, February 23 at the Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson. Congratulations to our Plano ISD students who participated. Stephanie Mylonas, freshman at Clark High School, won two first prize awards and LeeAntwon Wilson, sixth grader at Hendrick Middle School, won a second and a third prize.

Technology is a tool to unlock learning and expand the horizons of students. It enhances communication and learning and expands the world of blind and visually impaired persons in many significant ways. Using the expanded core curriculum, the students with visual impairments used their assistive technology skills to demonstrate competent and independent use of technology in this competition.
