Apr. 24, 2019 - Fire Prevention Poster Contest District Winners

Fourteen Plano ISD students have received awards at the district level in the Fire Prevention Poster Contest. Open to students from preK through twelfth grade, this annual contest takes place at several levels of competition. Students begin the competition at their school, winners at the school level compete at the City of Plano Fire and Rescue sponsored city-wide contest; winners at the city level advance to the district level. District-level competition consists of student artwork from various DFW school districts. Then during the summer, the state-level competition will take place.

This year's contest theme “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware – fire can happen anywhere” was provided in conjunction with the National Fire Protection Association’s Fire Prevention Week. City-level winners were selected in October. View the city-level award winning artwork in Headline News.
